Alexis, 39, left us much too soon on September 9, 2021. Our hearts are forever broken; we long for her. The love of her life, her sweet pug Lucy Jean, is lost without her. Alexis' kindness, joy, intolerance for injustice and inequality was shared with many close friends and family including her parents Dave and Sandi Cordier (her best friend and rock), New Cumberland; her sisters and brothers, Erika Kelly (husband Doug), Camp Hill; Tarah Cordier, Camp Hill; and Joel Minnich (wife Jen), Halifax and their children and grandchildren Ryan Minnich (wife Kelli, son Jameson), Swope VA, Rachael Minnich Zerembo (daughters Ariana and Rylee), Millersburg. Her five little ladies (nieces) held a special place in Alexis' heart. Giggles, laughter, and tenderness filled the visits with the Kelly girls: Kiera Grace (9), Laila Leigh (6), and Emma Rose (1) and Tarah's daughters: Jolene Elizabeth (5) and Poppy Elizabeth (3). Alexis' life was enriched by her grandparents Mimi (Jo) and the late Poppy (Jack) Minnich of Millersburg. Their love and support for our family is a constant inspiration. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Alexis was diagnosed with kidney disease at age 15 and received the gift of life (a kidney) from her mother, Sandi, at age 16 and again from her sister, Tarah, at age 23. She was on dialysis again and in need of another transplant; Erika was starting the living donor process. We are grateful for all of the medical staff who helped Alexis over the years. We find some peace in knowing that Alexis will be joining other loves in her life who have passed before her including Poppy (Jack) Minnich, "Fun" Donna Kegris Lock, Lenny Kelly, and close family friend Carole Anderson. We thank all who have visited and sent flowers. It was a tremendous comfort. We are encouraging everyone to make a charitable donation to Gift of Life Donor Program or Kidney Foundation of Central PA in memory of Alexis. The Cordier family would like to invite family and friends to share in a celebration of life on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 2pm. Please email [email protected] for details. www.pennlive.com/obits
