Erika Ramos King was laid to rest on January 8, 2022 at Papavero's funeral home in Queens, New York. Erika's life was ended because of domestic violence, which she was an advocate against. She worked closely with Peace Promise in the fight to end human trafficking and sexual exploitation. She received her associate's degree in medical assisting from Kaplan. She worked at Associates In Medical Toxicology which specializes in substance-abuse disorder. Erika wanted to see all her patients succeed in their treatment program. She has been described as an angel here on earth by those she has seen through difficult times. She is survived by two children, La'Myra and Antjuan; her estranged husband Antjuan King Sr; her mother Yolanda Martinez and stepfather Robert Mender; her father Miguel Ramos and stepmother Marisol Ramos; her sister Bianca Ramos, her niece Serena Singh, her nephew Devlyn Perez; and 5 godchildren Angel Rivera-Morris, Sinceyre Floyd, Sienna Wilson, Shiloh Smith, and Sansa Kanegawa. A memorial service will be held in Erika Ramos King's honor on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from noon to 2 PM at 32 S. Front St., Wormleysburg 17043. www.pennlive.com/obits
