Lois Smith, 88, of Dauphin County, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Country Meadows, Hershey. Born November 23, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late L. Paul Dilg and Mary K. Dilg. Lois was a graduate from Germantown High School and Temple University. She was a teacher, a loving mother, and grandmother. Lois enjoyed reading, knitting, hiking, volunteering, and being a caring friend. She and her husband, Karl, enjoyed 58 years together. From 1996-2007, they travelled extensively, including over 30 elderhostels all over the world. She was an active member of the Market Square Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her daughters, Kim Rokich and husband Don Rokich of Columbus, OH, and Stephanie Shaw and husband Lewis C. Shaw, III of Hershey; her 2 grandchildren, Maggie and Nathan Shaw of Hershey; her sister, Anne Page of Southampton, PA; and nephews, David Page of Flemington, NJ and Alan of Fayetteville, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Karl Smith. A memorial service will be held at 11am., Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Hershey Country Club, 1000 East Derry Road, Hershey, PA. Pastor Tim Sweet of Market Square Presbyterian Church will be presiding. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Fredricksen Library, Camp Hill, 100 N 19th St, Camp Hill, PA 17011; or Christians Churches United, Harrisburg, 413 S 19th St, Harrisburg, PA 17104.
