Mark J. Paradise, 96, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at UPMC West Shore Hospital. Born July 24, 1925, in Tower City, PA, he was a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Piano) Paradise. Mr. Paradise served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and participated in the assault of Utah Beach in Normandy on June 6, 1944. He worked for Ft. Indiantown Gap as a parts specialist until his retirement. Mark liked talking to people and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking and was a car enthusiast. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #239. Surviving are his sons, Ronald Paradise and wife Patricia of Enola, PA, and Jeffrey Paradise and wife Wendy of Elizabethville, PA; his sister, Barbara Wagner of Tower City, PA; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Paradise; a sister, Mary Toward; and a great-grandson, Jaxon. The family would like to thank Harmony at West Shore for the care they gave Mark. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, 11AM, at Cremation & Burial Society of PA, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. A burial with full military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
