Alida C.M. Craft

Pensacola - Alida C.M. Craft, 69, of Pensacola, Florida passed peacefully on July 13, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at home. Alida was born August 17, 1951 in Amsterdam N.L. to John H.C. and Lily A. Buchel.

Alida is survived by her parents John and Lily Buchel; devoted husband, Bill Craft; their daughter Melissa (Sam) Gindville; adorable grandson, John O. Gindville; niece Christina (Rob) Scala and grand-nephews, Brodie and Rocco Scala.

She is proceeded in death by daughter, Leanna N. Craft.

She was an admired teacher for 30 years in Upson County, Georgia, whose greatest accomplishments were being nominated Teacher of the Year, along with many accolades throughout her years there. But what she enjoyed most about her work was seeing former students succeed throughout their lives.

A dedicated teacher of many, a friend to all, a devoted mother and wife full of love and life, always up for a ride to the beach, a play date with her grandson, or a good laugh.

A private service will be held at a later date and it was Alida's wishes that donations be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc or your local Humane Society in her memory.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, is entrusted with arrangements. You may express condolences online at www.fcfhs.com.
