Alton Stanley Obituary
1917-2013
Alton C. "Al" Stanley, age 95, of Pensacola, FL, passed away April 4, 2013. He was born July 4, 1917 in Coeburn, VA to the late Markus & Ollie Stanley.
Al retired as a private investigator. He was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge #42 and the local Shriners. Al loved fishing and hunting, most of all he loved his family having been a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Audrey M. Stanley; his daughter, Anna Carlton Smith of Dubois, PA; his step-son, Barry Diamond of Albuquerque, NM; his brother, Atler Stanley of Culpeper, VA; his sister, Buelah (Carter) Lambert of Abingdon, VA; his grandchildren, Karen Yanek and George Carlton; and four great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11 AM at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family.
Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

To Audrey and family: I truly feel like I am a better person for having known Al. He was the real McCoy, and with his smile and kind words and deeds, lived the two great commondment: love of God and love of his fellow man. Al no doubt is still smiling and his spirit will live in our hearts. I thank God for this friend.
