Anna Welk Obituary

ANNA ARLENE WELK
1912-2007

Anna Arlene Welk, age 94 of Pensacola, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007. She was born December 27, 1912 in Monroe County, PA and was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence & parents, John A. & Bessie Mae Hoffner Setzer.
Anna was a resident of Pensacola since 1951 and resided at Carpenter's Creek Retirement Community for the last 12 years. She was a member of Christ Church and Abraham Kuykendall Chapter of National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her children, Lois M. Karcher, Vivian J. Farris (Linsy), John L. Welk (Belle), Charles F. Welk (Linda) and Ruth A. Welk; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; brother, Donald O. Setzer.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy with Rev. Harry Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waterfront Rescue Mission 112 W. Cervantes St. Pensacola, FL 32501 or Gulf Coast Kids House 3401 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32503.

When I saw Mrs. Welk's notice in the paper today I was saddened. I grew up across the street from their Avery Street home and always thought they were special people. The last time I saw them was in 1969 at my wedding in Atmore. My prayers are with you.
