I began working with Jim, Hugh, and Ken in 1992. Jim was always wonderful to work with, he came in with a smile and left with a smile. I will always be thankful for having known him and he will always have a special place in my heart, My condolences to the Mattox family.

For three years I was a delivery boy for Pfeiffer Drug. During those years I had the pleasure of working for Jim Mattox. He was a kind, gentle and intelligent man. Through the years when I returned to town he greeted me with the same warm smile. He was a wonderful man who had a very positive influence on my life and I extent my deepest sympathy to his family in the loss of Jim. Be comforted in the memories of father, grandfather and man who made a difference in so many lives.

Jim was a man of integrity and honor. It was my pleasure to work with him as a fellow pharmacist at Pfeiffer Drugs. He was a friend, anchor, and support each day.

The Mattox family lived next door to me for many years. I have such fond memories of times my sister Mary and I spent at their house. Mr. Mattox was a kind and gentle soul and always made us feel so welcome. I enjoyed visiting with Mr. & Mrs. Mattox over the years when I would return home. I continued to visit after they moved to Perdido. I will miss seeing Mr. Mattox. May God bless him and may he rest in peace. My sympathies to all of his family. I know they will miss him dearly.

Just thought of Jim yesterday. I guess the Angels were greeting him and all the ones that loved him felt his presence. When you spend time with Jim you never forget his big smile. He always made work fun and being 18 I needed that. I will cherish the years we worked together and the many happy times. His family was very Blessed to have such a wonderful man love them. I was so sorry to hear he had passed. I'm sure his love will always be felt by each of you. God Bless Mary Lambert Ham

My condolences to Jim's family. I first met Jim in 1970 when I worked as a Delivery Boy for Pfeiffer's Drugs while attending PJC. Jim was a kind and thoughtful boss. I met Jim later in life and was privileged to serve him as his CPA for many years. He always had a cheerful smile and a laugh for all.
