Early on July 29th, 2013 we released our father, our friend James Rheam (87) of Jay, FL into the hands of Jesus. He was the son of David S and Jessie A (Hassinger) Rheam of PA. His wife of 51 yrs. Elizabeth (Wise) Rheam preceded him in death. He is survived by his children - Damaris (Michael) Byler of Jay,FL; Anna (John) Kemp of Jay,FL; Jesse (Dawn) Rheam of Milton,FL; Rebecca (David) Halteman of Newburg,PA; Seth (Dawn) Rheam of Chambersburg,PA.; grandchildren - Mary Byler (Woody) Jackson; Sharon Byler ( Dusty) Mayo; Paul David Byler; Hannah (Justin) Gingerich; Josiah (Maggie) Kemp; Nathan (Hope) Kemp; Micah Kemp; Summer Wilhour; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John Halteman; and Rachel, Andrew, Joelle, Adria and Joanna Rheam; his great-grandchildren - Joel, Jesiah, and Jude Jackson; Lucas Newby; Emma Mayo; Gabriel Gingerich; his brother, Robert B. (Janet) Rheam; sister, Shirley J. Henry; brother-in-law, Charles Zook; and a sister-in-law, Mary Rheam all of PA;and many nieces and nephews. Our lives have been shaped by his Godly example. Dad was a Faithful follower of our Lord Jesus as he ministered to all he met; he has finished his course and has won the Crown of Life. Praise be to JESUS the Author and Finisher of our FAITH! We are planning a celebration of Dad's home going. On the evening of July 31from 5:30 - 8:30 pm come visit with us at Cornerstone Christian Church, Jay,FL . Thursday, Aug.1 @ 2:00 pm at Cornerstone Christian Church, Jay,FL we will share in worship to our Father who does all things well, after which, we will lay his body in it's final resting place, (awaiting that glorious resurrection) at Cobbtown Mennonite Church. We will then share in food and fellowship at the Jay Civics Center as we encourage one another to carry the torch of FAITH to all people. In lou of flowers we will be setting up a scholarship fund @ Cobbtown Christian Academy. May many young lives be challenged to carry the Gospel into all the world.

I would like to extend my condolences to Mr. Rheam's family as I fondly remember them as I taught most of them in school. You guys had such a loving mother and father and always reflected that loving spirit they gave you. Buenos DIas, Jesse, Demaris, Anna, Rebecca, and Seth.

We are saddened by your loss. James and Elizabeth were always such an encouragement to our ministry and family. James brightened any place he was and will be sorely missed. It is a comfort to know that he is now with his Savior and the love of his life. You are all in our prayers and thoughts.
