LETHA MAE BARNES CRAIG
1922-2008

On Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 9:20AM, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother moved to her new home to be with the Lord. She finished her journey, but her life will forever be cherished in our hearts.
Sister Leitha Mae Craig departed this life with grace and dignity. She was born in Marietta, Alabama on April 17, 1922 to the late Gus Robbins and Nolie Dennis. She moved to Milton, Florida at an early age and later married the late Moses Barnes and together they became members of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, of Bagdad, Florida. Later in life she wed Robert Craig.
Preceding her in death were her sister, Lucille Williams and her children Larry Barnes, Harry Barnes, Ronnie Barnes, Vernell Strickland and Linda Avery.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Robert Craig; three daughters, Eddie Mae Boykins, Mozelle (David) Hannah, both of Milton, FL and Willie Mae Turley, of Pensacola, FL; three sons, Moses (Donetta) Barnes, Jr., of Ft. Worth, TX, Willie James Barnes, of Houston, TX, and Devon Barnes, of Milton, FL; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Through her second marriage she has two step-children, Regina Craig and Irvin Long, both of Milton, FL; a sister-in-law Carrie (Walter) Woods, of Milton, FL.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, April 11, 2008, at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel. Burial will follow in Milton-Keyser Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing.
Her love, support and friendship will be missed by all who knew her. The memory of our loved one will forever live in our hearts.
