Meredith Staton Obituary
1975-2013
Meredith Hill Staton was born in Pensacola, Florida, on March 20, 1975, and died on October 11, 2013, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Meredith was predeceased by her grandfathers, Claude Covin and Herbert Hill, and is survived by her grandmothers, Ruth Covin and Hazel Hill, her son, Christopher, her brother, Bobby, his wife, Pam, their children, Emma and Grady, her sister, Sierra, and her parents, Diane and Larry.
A family memorial was held in Pensacola on October 20. The family extends its thanks to all of those whose thoughts and prayers have meant so much. Meredith will be missed, but remembered always.

For whatever reason, I just thought about our oceanic rafting voyages to the second sandbar. It was certainly always an adventure hanging out with you as a kid. Life certainly isn’t fair — and never gets any easier. Still, I have to continually remind myself of those cold-hard facts because I never want to believe them. I’m glad our memories will forever live in youth — untouched by change and sadness. And I’m glad you eventually found happiness in your life. You deserved it. Till next time...

Meredith, I pray you have found peace. You will always be a part of me, of who I've become, the sister I never had. I'm blessed to have experienced a friendship like the one we had as girls and I cherish those memories every day.

Diane, Larry and family,
I am sorry for your loss of your precious daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend to many. My immediate thought was that she is in a perfect place-totally at peace with no pain, no stress, no anxiety. Just perfect peace! Praying that you will find comfort in the tough days to come.
