1934 - 2011

Patricia K. Chavis, 76, of Pensacola and Foley, AL. died Thursday, October 13, 2011 after battling with COPD and lung cancer. Pat met and married the love of her life, Charles (C.E.) Chavis while they both worked at CN Mason Construction Company. Together they built Northwestern, Inc. where she worked until she retired in 2000. They loved to take cruises and even treated all the children and their spouses to an "Over The Hill" cruise in 1990 when the youngest turned 30. Pat was an avid fisherwoman, loved cooking and trips to Biloxi. She was a charter member of the National Association of Women in Construction where she served many years on the Board and in various office positions.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 48 years, Charles Edward (C.E.) Chavis, brother and sister in law Bill and Nancy Rogers, children Patsy and Kenneth Nall, Ed and Beth Chavis, Kim and Chip Chavis, Lourinda Ann Chavis, Tami and Charles Buzbee, Keith and Patty Chavis, Steven and Annette Chavis, 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and other numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Pensacola Memorial Garden.

Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Nall, Jr., James Clay, Bradley Chavis, Kristian Nall, Chandler Mull and William Chavis.
