Robert Bashaw Obituary
1935-2016
Robert "Bob" Wesley Bashaw finished his journey in this life on Monday, August 15, 2016. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline of 47 years; stepsons Mark Clark wife Christine of Augusta, Georgia and Roy Clark wife Lisa of Pensacola, Florida; brother Richard Bashaw wife Marilyn of Salt Lake Utah; as well as Ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He retired from the navy in 1973, opened Bashaw Medical from 1979-2004, and Vintage Parachutes from 2000-2014. He was an avid sky diver, teaching the sport for many years. A private celebration of life was held Friday the 19th, and interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetary at a later date.

Just found out today (7-1-23) that Bob had passed 7 years ago. He was my first jump instructor at Elberta, AL in Oct 1972. He was a great instructor and friend. So sorry to hear this.

We were shipmates together at Roosevelt Roads P.R. A good friend and will be sorely missed. I know when he reported for permanent duty at the Final Home Port, the Supreme Skipper had the Bravo Zulu run up ("Well done")!

I remember Bob from the Elberta Parachute Club in the early 70's. He was my jump master and got me interested in becoming an EMT. So sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jackie, his family and friends.
