Willie Mae Bray
Pensacola - Mrs. Willie Mae Bray, 96, of Pensacola, Florida passed peacefully into heaven on July 14, 2021 to join her savior, whom she so faithfully served. Mrs. Bray was born on January 12, 1925 in Poarch, Alabama. She was a proud Elder of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandparent, and caring friend who enjoyed fellowship, gospel, singing, fishing, gardening, and playing board games.
Mrs. Bray was a dedicated member of Pine Forest Pentecostal Church for over 60 years. Her faithfulness and dedication to the Lord and her family was felt and known by all that knew her.
Family and friends relied on her for prayer, encouragement, and advice, all of which she graciously gave.
Preceding Mrs. Bray in death were her parents, David and Maggie Rolin McGhee; her beloved husband, VR Bray; two children, Wayne and Helen; three brothers, Casey, Kinzy, and S.D. McGhee; and five sisters, Mary Flurnoy, Inez McGhee, Isabelle Thead, Eva Ramer, and Evelyn Manning.
Left to cherish her memories are sons, Billy, Charles (Debbie), and Buddy (Vicky) Bray; daughters, Ann King, Janice (Mark) King, and Judy Camden; grandchildren, Kim Newton, Pamela Bray, Rachel Brewton, Loretta Floyd, Annette King, Randy Bray, Regina Burgess, Jennifer Williams, Angela Bray, Joann Boyington, Deann Schlobohm, Cristie Boyington, Jessica Godwin, Jacob Colville, Justin King, Jordan Hoover, Daniel Camden, and Caroline Camden; forty-three great-grandchildren; eighteen great, great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home - North, 1000 South Hwy 29, with Sister Hazel Godwin officiating and assisted by Brother Alton Lister.
Graveside service to follow at Clopton Cemetery, 4801 N. Davis Hwy.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Randy Bray, Justin King, Daniel Camden, David McGhee, James McGhee, and Richard McGhee.
Honorary Pallbearers are the adult Sunday School Class of Pine Forest Pentecostal.
