Chris Re passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on October 28, 2014. Chris was born in Eugene to Jerry and Ginny Re. Chris married Sandra Brattin in 1979. Chris is survived by his wife Sandra, daughter Callie Re Lawson and her husband Brian Lawson of Portland, son Jefre Re of Eugene, brothers Dan (Terry) Re of Bend, Rick (Kathy) Re of Eugene, Tony Re of Portland and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held Saturday, November 1st at 11am at Saint Jude Catholic Church; 4330 Willamette St. Eugene, OR 97405.

Chris was like magic. He could light up a room or a conversation. He was the most likable and determined individual I've ever had the pleasure to support. I loved the man for so many reasons. He left us before I could repay a chocolate cream pie debt. I will have it with me when we meet again. Condolences to his family. He left way too early.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel so deeply for all of you. I hope that you are getting the support you need through this. I lost my father in April and I knew jeff and we had common ground for that reason. I wish that I could do something to make it better or had a magic word that would help. I just would like to at least ask if there is anything at all that I could do or help with or anything at all that would be of assistance to the family. I worked with Chris for several years at Timber Products. He was always happy and making people laugh. What a great sense of humor. He will be missed by all that were ever fortunate enough to have known him. My deepest sympathies to his family and many, many friends.

Chris was a great guy!... I am so sad to hear of his passing. Chris was a very talented lumberman for over 30 years and will be missed by many co-workers and people he met and did business with. My thoughts and prayers are with your family today and beyond.

I've had the honor of knowing the Re family for the past 16 years and Chris (Re-Dawg) always brought light to the table. Between his rapid-fire jokes, his utterly self deprecating sense of humor and infectious laugh he left us all better people.
Although it has been a couple of years since I last saw him I can still feel his big bear-hugs and little kid smile like it was yesterday.
