Richard "Dick" Alley 90, of fishers passed away Dec. 12, 2022. He was born Aug. 3, 1932 in Peru, Indiana to the late Robert and Dorothy M. (Clinger) Alley.
Dick was a graduate of Peru High School and attended Indiana and Butler Universities. He married Katherine Louise Creager in 1951, and she preceded him in death July 3, 2021. Dick was in sales in the welding industry for many years. He was a member and past President of the American Welding Society and offered his expertise as a judge in welding competitions at North Central High School.
Dick was a former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and a current member of Christ the King Catholic Church where he was active in the Men's Group, organized funeral rosaries, and was a Eucharistic Minister. He was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite.
Visitation will be Sunday, Dec.18, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5884 N. Crittenden Ave., Indianapolis, with visitation one hour prior.
Dick is survived by his children, Diana (Scott) Spiegel, Karen Alley and Richard (Catherine) Alley, Jr.; grandchildren, Robert (Linda) Alley, Benjamin (Courtney) Spiegel, Beverly (Wayne) Johnston, Bethany (Grant) Alley, Richard Alley III, Jeff Lattea, Nicholas (Lauren) Lattea and Justin (Gwin) Lattea; and six great-grandchildren, Case Johnston, Ty Johnston, Knox Johnston, Molly Spiegel, Maddox Spiegel and Penelope Lattea. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Alley.
