This message is for Mr. Sheeks's family - when I read his name in the paper the other day, it rang a bell, and I remembered my father, RADM Grant Calhoun (who practiced law in Richmond, California), speaking often and highly of Mr. Sheeks - they were both in the Navy, and both involved with hospital districts for many years. Although we perhaps never met, I clearly recall hearing good things about Joe Sheeks, and I wanted to let you know that his productive and honorable career and community contributions extend beyond his lifetime. I offer my sincere condolences for your loss.
