Thomas Graham Obituary

Passed away unexpectedly at his Sebastopol residence on July 23, 2013. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Gannon Graham of Sebastopol. Loving father of Alison Graham of Santa Rosa, Christine Graham of San Francisco, and Patrick Graham of Alaska. Dear brother of Paul (Diane) Graham of Danville, Anne Graham of Martinez, and the late John Graham. Brother-in-law of Michael (Lyn) Gannon of Sebastopol, Judy (Bernie) Kearney of WI, and Linda (Bill) Walsh of Healdsburg. Survived by several nieces and nephews.
Thomas enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, and playing guitar in his garden with friends and family. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and nephew Richard; and was one hell of a cook. Thomas was a friend to everyone he met. He was the manager at the Green String Farm in Petaluma and previously, Copperfield's Books in Montgomery Village.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. For more information about services and support, please visit: thomas.graham.muchloved.com.

My dearest Mary,
My thoughts are with you at this sad time. Thomas, his beautiful smile & soul has touched everyone that had the honor of sharing his beautiful heart (that he shared so willingly) and I for one shall always keep him in mine.
Of course his hats really added to his lovely aura!
Love to you,
Nick

Dearest Mary, I'm so, so sorry to hear about your husband. From all descriptions, I'm quite sorry I didn't know him. Clearly, he was a wonderful fellow. Be well, dear girl. I'll see you with your head in the sink again one day...

I knew Thomas for years, beginning at North Coast Health Care Centers. I watched his journey as he decided to go back to school, then excelled, found his way, found his love, and his books. I saw him every now and then at Copperfields, we'd catch up. His was a true spirit, a gentle and caring soul, funny and warm-hearted. I just heard of his passing this week and could not let it pass without honoring a wonderful person.

Hi Mary,
Don't know if you remember me but I used to work with you at POL. Mary (British Mary) told me today about your Thomas and I am so very sorry. I lost my husband suddenly so I truly understand the pain, confusion, grief and loss that you are going through. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you travel on this journey. Just know that you are not alone and let the people who love you support you through this time. All my best, Jill

The description of your life made me cry...I wish I had had more time to know you on earth-we have so much in common down to Shasta, flowers who remain wild, and healing the sick and abandoned plants. Blessed be gentle soul. We will watch after your Mary.

What a huge shock to hear of Thomas' sudden passing. I first met him while working at Palm Drive Hospital, and a few years later, I had the great pleasure of working for him briefly at Copperfield's Books. He was a fantastic boss, and a wonderful person. He was taken from us far too soon. As they go through this tragic time, I send my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Mary and the rest of Thomas' family. May he rest in eternal peace.

Thomas and Mary made an art of their relationship. It is a beacon for all who love. A gentle, funny, smart and talented man, Thomas Graham had a way of laying flowers before all our feet, especially Mary's. He will be greatly missed.
