One more thing that I meant to share was that I always loved when Uncle Jerry would sing the song in church called Why Me Lord. It always touched my heart!

I want you all to know how very sorry I am about Uncle Jerry. I'm so grateful that he is in Heaven with no more pain! Some memories that stand out in my mind.... I used to love helping him in the canteen at the sale barn. He taught me how to make grilled cheese on the grill cheese press. He made the best hot dogs I've ever had. I remember one time I ran out of gas in the first car I had. I had to walk to a random house to use the phone. I couldn't get in touch with my daddy so I called Uncle Jerry and he came in his red and white Chevy truck and took me to get gas and brought it back and put it in for me. He always had the best hugs with his long strong arms... He was my favorite uncle! I know y'all will miss him soo much! Praying for peace and comfort! I love y'all! Love, lisa

I was so sad to hear this news. I always enjoyed talking to uncle Jerry. I would often see him at Ingles in Easley and we would cut up and carry on right there in the store. When my daddy passed away last May, I called uncle Jerry and we just talked about old times and family. He will be missed greatly. Many prayers for the family in the coming days.
