DICK FRENCH Obituary

Richard "Dick" W. French, 90, of Saint Charles, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024. Beloved husband of Jean McPike French (62 wonderful years); cherished son of the late Lee and Pearl French; devoted father of Susan (Bryan) Adams and Dixie Connell; former father-in-law of D. Scott Connell; loving grandfather of Jacob Adams, Matthew Connell, Zachary Adams and Lydia Connell; dear brother of the late Bob (Barbara) French; treasured uncle of Carol Gammel, Cindy Hill, Jim French and John French.
Dick proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and ended his time of service with the reserves.
A dedicated father, grandfather, and friend, Dick lived a life full of passion, hard work, and adventure. Dick was a man of faith; he and Jean were members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church for more than 55 years.
He was an avid hunter, skilled woodworker, and gardener, finding joy in the simple pleasures of nature. His love for mechanics was evident in his expertise in fixing vehicles and aircraft. Dick's true calling has always been aviation as he spent his career as a commercial airplane pilot.
Dick was a kind man with a heart of gold. He leaves behind family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Memorials may be made in Richard's name to Commemorative Air Force Missouri Wing 6390 Grafton Ferry Road, Portage Des Sioux, MO 63373.
