Adam Sherman Obituary


Adam R. Sherman VIRGINIA BEACH - Adam R. Sherman, 17, passed away Nov. 14, 2008. He was born Sept. 5, 1991, in Norfolk to Anthony and Marjorie O'Toole Sherman. He was a senior at Green Run High School and the Vocational Technical Center in Virginia Beach in the Masonry Program. Adam was a talented guitar player and enjoyed music; he had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed hanging out with all of his many friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Nicholas and his twin brother, Andrew; his uncle, Dennis; and his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Frances Sherman. Left to cherish his memory are his parents; brother, Shawn, 15 and sister Danielle, 14; maternal grandparents, Shawn and Nancy O'Toole of Virginia Beach; uncle and best friend, Jimmy; uncles, Brian and Patrick of Virginia Beach; uncle, Kenneth of Norfolk; aunt, Mary Anne of Powell, Tenn.; uncle, Michael of Odenton, Md.; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Colonial Grove Cemetery in Virginia Beach. You may offer condolences to the family at www.mem.com.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. As the parents of a son who is a high school senior we can't even imagine the pain. Our hearts ache about this whole tragic accident. I am a Green Run High School student that went to school with your son Adam. I was in the 12th grade with Adam. I didnt know him very well but i have seen him around school. I send my condoulences to Adam's family friends from GRHS and outside of school. I wish you the best through out the years and May God and Jesus keep him safe and healthy up in heaven. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! I was shocked to read that Adam had a twin and another brother go before him - My only child, Jason, was killed in a car accident 11 years ago and what a journey it has been. I can't imagine doing it three times - UNBELIEVABLE - PRAY, PRAY AND PRAY!!!!!!!!!!
