Alice Walsh, a one in a million lady, forever friend, wife, mother, and teaching colleague.
She always put others first, and selfishness was nonexistent in her daily living. We taught right across the hall from each other at the original Linkhorn Park Elementary School on Laskin Road. We would share our classroom experiences
and the daily shenanigans of certain children. Oh, how we would laugh and empathize with each other during those trying times. Frequently, I would be the first grade teacher for Alice's kindergarten children. She was always right on target in her student evaluations. I always respected Alice and never met anyone like her. Alice and Bill were always special to me: I wore Alices's wedding dress when I married, and she and Bill graciously opened their home for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Alice and I loss touch throughout the years,
much to my chagrin. The last time I spoke with her was probably about 15 years ago. Since that time I have retired from teaching, become a grandmother, and relocated with Ken to Kentucky. I know Bill, Bucky, Russell and their families will miss this wonderful gift in their lives. Alice was a gift from a God in my life and pray to be with her when God calls.

I am a former coworker of Alice. We worked side by side at LINKHORN PARK ELEMENTARY for several years. I was very sad to hear about her loss. She meant a lot to the Linkhorn family! Her sage wisdom was always welcomed by many. The world is a little bit dimmer without her shining light. My condolences to her family as I know she will be missed!

I fondly remember Alice as a great teacher and friend during my time as principal at Linkhorn Elementary school. Alice had a good sense of humor and loved children and made a difference in many childrens' lives.I am sorry I could not be at the service due to a previous commitment. She will be missed and remembered by many children, parents and friends. Sandy and I send our condolences. Carroll Monger
