Annette Newkirk Obituary
Virginia Beach - Our Angel, Annette E. Newkirk, 61, gained her wings and returned to Heaven, June 24, 2018. Annette, now of Virginia Beach, was born march 31, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Annette was the daughter of the late Eugenia Bradley and step-daughter to James Bradley. Annette was predeceased yet loved and raised by her mother; grandma, Alma Spruill and great grandma, Mama Hall in the Berkley area of Norfolk. Alma 'Doll' Bethea her sister also preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, James Armon Newkirk, Sr; two sons, James Armon Newkirk, Jr. and Andre Shawn Newkirk; two grandchildren, Armon Isiah Newkirk and Jordan James Newkirk; three brothers, William Z. Eure, Roosevelt T. Bradley and Nathaniel K. Bradley as well as a host of extended family and friends; the Book Club and all that knew her as the 'Neighborhood Mom'. Annette gave all to everyone who knew her and loved her unconditionally and she loved them the same. A viewing will be held for her at Graves Funeral Home, 1631 Church Street, Norfolk, VA, 1-6pm Thursday, June 28, 2018. A Service of Remembrance will be held 12pm Friday, June 29, 2018 in Hood Chapel AME Zion Church, 611 Rockingham Street, Norfolk, VA, to celebrate her life. gravesfuneralhomeinc.com
