Audrey Clough Obituary

Audrey J. Clough VIRGINIA BEACH - Audrey J. Clough passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, surrounded by her three loving daughters, in Virginia Beach. She was born to Nicholas and Rose Pacak in Catskill, N.Y. Audrey attended Oneonta College and graduated with a B.A. in Education. After teaching in New York, her adventurous spirit took her and her dog to Norfolk where she taught for five years. She married and relocated to Massachusetts, continuing her passion for teaching. In 1986, she decided to venture back to Virginia Beach and continue her teaching career. She taught at Monroe and P.B. Young Elementary Schools in Norfolk, and last year took on a literacy teacher position. Audrey loved dogs, dancing, traveling, shopping, the beach, meeting new people, spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, and expanding young minds especially through reading. Audrey is survived by many loving family and friends including her daughter, Kimberly Ann and son-in-law Ted Morse; her daughter, Kellie Katherine and her family Mark Doyle and Annabelle; her daughter, Karen Suzanne and son-in-law Brian Eskridge; her grandchildren, Evan, Alex and Kaylin; her former husband, Douglas Clough; and her dog, Nicholas. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church followed by the burial service. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. She will be deeply missed by all, but most of all by her three adoring daughters whose lives she filled with so much love. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in her name to the Norfolk or Virginia Beach SPCA or animal shelters. Condolences may be made to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
