Brian Keith Obituary
Brian Keith CHESAPEAKE - Brian L. Keith, 21, went to heaven to be with the Lord Aug. 30, 2008. He was born in Poquoson and lived most of his life on the Peninsula. He was employed by Dominion Terminal Association in the operations department. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Wilma Wood and paternal grandparents, Medley and Pearl Keith. Brian is survived by loving wife, Amanda B. Keith and son Gabriel Matthew Keith; mother, Charlene Dunn and stepfather David Dunn; father, Van Keith and stepmother Marie Ann Keith; sister, Tami Keith; brother, Michael Keith; his in-laws, Brenda and Mark Reed; brothers-in-law, Colby and Brock Reed; numerous nieces and nephews; and also left to cherish his memory are cousins, aunts, uncles, stepbrothers and stepsisters. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m., also in the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Clarence Hilling. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.

Brian,
I miss you so much. I feel like I have lost the best part of my day. You brought so much fun and laughter into me and gabes life. You were such a great father to gabe and you loved him sooo much. He will always remember and know you as his daddy. I know they say things happen for a reason I just don't understand this one. You gave me my fairytale dream that I've always wanted. You are my bestfriend and soulmate, I could tell you anything. I love you and miss you so much!

They say only the good die young... well they were right! Brian was the best guy friend i've ever known! He was always the life of the party and the class clown! Lindsay Swindells and I (Kaitlyn Wise) met Brian and Michael Keith when we were only in the 6th grade. We hung out day after day then it seemed like before we knew it ten years had passed and we were all grown up! The say time flies when your having fun! countless memories will be treasured forever! Water fights, trampolines, getting our licences, our first cars, birthdays christmases, new house after new house, the "movies", endless trips back and forth from wiliamsburg to rocky mount, ect. we will miss you soooo much and you will never be forgotten! He always seemed to be able to put a smile on everones face no matter what! I just hope your still shining down on us with ever ray of sunshine to brighten up our days! i know you will be watching your beautiful family everyday! Say hello to my pop up there and just know that one day we will all reunite and the day were gonna raise some hell!!! we'll always love and miss you buzzy! My condolences go out to everyone whos ever known Brain... family, friends, etc. because i think knowing him, made my life a litle better! best of luck to all his family!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

Brian,
When we first met in spanish class in 2003 we were ready to hurt each other, then we became friends and it was on ever since. we did some crazy stuff together that i will never forget. i had soo much fun over the years, we introduced your mom to my dad and then they got married, its crazy that your gone at such a young age, i really dont know what to put on here there is so many memories to share with everyone that i dont know where to begin. All i know is that i love you brian and i will always miss and think of you and i hope your looking down on us. I will never forget any of the things we did and all the fun we had.

To my Buzzy,
Your aunt Roni will miss you dearly, but you will never be forgotten. You left us with sooo many memories. I will always remember your bottom as much as your smiling face because you shared that with us on a regular basis. I will miss everything about you. Brian I am so proud of you as a husband, son, brother and Daddy. There are a lot of men who can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a daddy and you were a daddy. Your cousin Stephanie will miss you but thank God she has many great memories from childhood to the present to cherish. Dillon and Dallas will miss your aggravating and the basketball games.
