Carol Richardson Obituary
Norfolk - Carol Lynette Drake Richardson, 55, a Bayview / Ocean View girl, passed away September 28th. During her hospice care she was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Carol graduated from Norview High School and worked 18 years for the Clerk of the Norfolk Circuit Court. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Brady T. and Shirley S. Drake, and brothers Brian E. Drake and Brady T. Drake III. Survivors include her children Jacob William Richardson and Virginia (Jenna) Molly Richardson; 3 brothers Donald A. Drake (Darlene), Thomas E. (Ted) Drake (Thelma) and Robert O. Drake; a sister Anne D. Rowe (Chris); and nieces and nephews Sandy, Donald, Deanna, Allison, Connor, Shirley, Lex, Katie and Olivia. A funeral service will be held Wednesday October 1 at 11am at Bayview United Church of Christ 1051 Bayview Blvd. Norfolk by Rev. Richard Prince. Family and friends will gather immediately after the service in the social hall. Hollomon Brown Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.hollomon-brown.com

I am so sorry for your lose. Carol's was a wonderful mother and a very dear friend of my best friend Theresa Catlafamo. She was always so sweet and thoughtful to me and my family. She did fight the good fight and she is the winner. She is in heaven with my Mother Joyce and I know they will become great friends. Jenna and Jake your mother loved you two more than words could ever express. My thoughts and prayers are forever with you.

I'm truly going to miss you my friend and lunch buddy. I will miss the times we shared recipes and laughs, the enjoyment we had watching out favorite shows, "The Chew, Master Chef, and Hell's Kitchen texting each other trying to guess who will win Master Chef or Hells kitchen and my life with "Big Dog" jokes. My heart is very heavy, but I know God has the master plan. Rest in peace, To Jenna and Jake may God give you the peace and strength you will need. Know that your mother loved both of you dearly and was very proud of the adults you have become.
