Carolyn Mason

Carolyn Mason died on July 18, 2022. She was born in Richmond, VA, the daughter of James and Louise Amos. She is survived by her husband, Scott C. Mason, in a marriage of 65 years. She is also survived by a son, Scott C. Mason, Jr (Nina), and a predeceased daughter, Laura Mason Putney (Ed), and five grandchildren: Lee Putney (Amanda), Georgia Putney, Lane Allegrezza (Mike), Genie Mason, Scout Mason, and a great granddaughter, Goldie May Putney.

Because of her husband's business, Carolyn has lived in Raleigh, NC, Barrington, RI, South Dartmouth, MA, and Annisquam, MA, before residing in Virginia Beach. She loved gardening and had been an active member of the Garden Club of America, the Buzzards Bay Garden Club, and the Virginia Beach Garden Club. Tennis and social activities, as well as traveling with her husband, were her enjoyments.

A memorial service will be held at Galilee Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach on Thursday, July 28th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Galilee Episcopal Church. Online condolences may be made at hdoliver.com.
