Christina Bowman-Weaver Obituary
Chesapeake - Christina Gail Bowman-Weaver, 43, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016.
She is survived by her parents, Catherine and James W. Bowman, Sr.; three children, Trey Riggins, Cheyenne Perry and husband Michael and Autumn Weaver; her significant other, Travis Godfrey; a sister, Elizabeth Zysk and significant other Phil Henderson; a brother, Billy Bowman and wife Denise; three grandchildren, Wyatt, Leilani and Trenten; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
As our mothers children, we want her to know that we love and miss her so much. We appreciate everything you have done for us and you're an amazing mother, woman, and Gigi.
A funeral service will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, May 28, at West Park Church of Christ by Mr. Keith Lewis. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel Friday from 6 8 P.M.

The memories are too many to put in such a small space. I guess the fun one is when you and Stephanie got "Sit & Spins" and that was all you could do. Spin, spin, spin. Your curls were flying around. We will all miss you so much. I keep feeling like this didn't happen. God bless your family and He will give all of us the strength we need to get through this week. We love you and miss you so much.

This terrible tragedy has united a far flung community who loved Christy. WE each knew her in our own way but we all were touched with the great kindness that emanated from her.
My heart breaks when thinking of her dear ones left behind to manage their lives without her steady presence.

Christy was an inspiration to all she spread her rays of sunshine over. Her fortitude, gumption, laughter, drive, love, beauty, smile, generosity, her big heart...she never seemed to dwell on the difficulties of life that were presented to her...she picked herself up and dusted herself off and forged ahead in style and grace. Awe.. Christina. I'm so sorry this happened to you.. I haven't seen you in a while... but I miss running into you at Starbucks chatting it up.. or seeing you when the girls would come see me to do their hair..
We met thru our girls.. and we hit it off and became instant buddies.. You were a sweet, caring loving woman.. Who loved, supported and adored her kids... no matter what they did lol.. you were always in thier corner.. . did anything for them..
