Daniel Eure Obituary

Daniel R. Eure, Jr.
Suffolk - Daniel Richard Eure, Jr., 77, of Suffolk, Va. passed away December 10, 2011. He was born in Gates County, N.C. the son of the late Daniel Richard Eure, Jr. and Mary Lilly Eure. He was predeceased by his sisters, Catherine Langston, Nellie White, Helen Piland, and Aileen Barden; and brothers, Clemon, Jamie, and Joseph Eure. He was a United States Army veteran. He later went on to retire as a supervisor from Planters Peanuts. Daniel was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Gates County Hunt Club and White Oak Hunt Club.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean Brinkley Eure; sons and daughter-in-laws, Daniel R. Eure, III and Teresa L. Eure, Kevin Lewis Eure and Carla D. Eure all of Suffolk, Va.; grandchildren, Daniel Allen Eure and Richard Aaron Eure; sister, Marie Eure Harrell and husband A.J. of Peru, NY.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, Va. with Rev. Garland Hines and Rev. Wayne Gardner officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery. Friends may join the family Monday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home for a time of visitation and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Providence United Methodist Church at 3105 Providence Rd., Suffolk, Va. 23434 or the American Heart Association at P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.
