Daniel Rosinski Obituary

Daniel A. Rosinski

Williamsburg - Farewell to our generous-hearted, loving and passionate leader, Daniel A. Rosinski, 58, of Williamsburg, VA, who passed away Tuesday, August 28 at his home. Dan was formerly of New England. The legacy of Dan's kind spirit, larger than life heart and his devotion to family and friends will carry on forever in his adored sons, Casey and Marcelo. His dynamic and charming presence left an everlasting imprint on the lives of those who knew him. Dan's determination brought him to Hampton Roads and shortly after his arrival, he became an inspiration to so many. In addition to Owner/President of Bowditch Ford, Dan built and developed the Peninsula to its greatest potential. His fearless drive as a visionary brought immeasurable change and hope to our local community. Dan was a generous supporter and contributor to countless charities, including Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. As a philanthropist, he touched the lives of many people and was truly an inspiration to all who knew him. He was loyal, trustworthy and honest, which perfectly complimented his extraordinary magnanimous spirit. He had a great love for the arts, history and literature. Dan's legacy will continue in his honor and he will forever be cherished by all those he touched. He loved traveling, boating and collecting antiques, but most of all, Dan loved his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard Edward Rosinski and dear friend, Joseph Anthony Buffa. Dan is survived by his beloved Chrissy Elizabeth Buffa of Williamsburg, VA; his cherished sons, Casey Adams Rosinski, companion, Elizabeth O'Neill Brown and Marcelo Gianni Rosinski; his mother, Joyce D. Lambert; family members, Jessica, Angel, Lori, Dean, & Michelle; and several nieces and nephews; as well as the Buffa family.

One of Dan's favorite quotes is by President, George Washington, "Unutterable sensations must then be left to more expressive silence; while, from an aching heart, I bid you all, my affectionate friends, and kind neighbours, farewell!"

Family and friends are cordially invited to visit on Tuesday, September 4 from 4pm - 7:30pm at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, Virginia. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 5 at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 100 Harpersville Road, Newport News, VA. At the request of the family, please meet at the church. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 100 Harpersville Road, Newport News, Virginia 23601, www.olmc.org For online condolences and other information, please visit www.peninsulafuneralhome.com.

I learned about the sad news of Daniel Rosinski yesterday while getting my car serviced at Bowditch Ford on J.Clyde Morris. I spoke to one of the employees who knew him well. My deepest sympathy to Daniel's family and friends. Life is a fragile fragment in time, and it hurts us very much when we lose someone we love, so suddenly.

I can't believe Dan is gone.He was a great man, a true friend, an inspiration, and confidant. He would light up a room with his passion and desire. He was a stern business man, but fair. He was honest, had integrity, and was one of the hardest working people I had the pleasure to get to know. He loved his family and loved life.

I will truly miss him. Rest in peace my friend.

Our hearts are broken & we continue to be in utter shock regarding the sudden loss of Dan.
Dan was beyond generous to us. He welcomed us , "the transplants" to VA. We will be forever grateful to Dan for his thoughtfulness towards us. I'm sure that I speak for many folks who personally knew Dan; a piece of our hearts ascended into Heaven with Dan. Casey,Marcelo,Chrissy & Family; may you continue to feel all of the love & support that surrounds you at this difficult time. May treasured memories in time, fill the void in your broken hearts.

Dan you were hardworking and an inspiration to many. You believed in me when others didn't. You were not always serious at work and had us cracking up. I am shocked you are gone. I wish I could have had just one more opportunity to thank you for allowing me to grow so much when I worked with you. Your memory will continue to live!

Dan was a amazing leader and down to earth take charge type of man and Boss. I'm truly thankful for the times he help myself and family during the years I worked for /with him at Bowditch. He always told me he had my back and for that I will always be great full. You sir will be truly missed fair well if there is one thing I can take from Dan is that family is most important and you work for what you get in life. That while most think good deeds and hard work goes unnoticed, when you look back at where you are in life turns out you are the leader for others and it is impossible not to be the envy of all. Thanks Dan from myself and my family fair well until we meet again!!

I am so saddened by the loss of this wonderful man. He was the happiest person I know. He would come to the Warwick and eat and always had a kind word to say. My heart goes out to his children and family. He made Bowditch Ford what it is today. He gave it his all. I am reminded "only the good die young. God must have needed him for his work above. A great man ,a huge loss. RIP.
