Delores Lafon Obituary

Delores Jean Lafon SUFFOLK - Delores Jean Lafon, 74, was granted her angel wings on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at home with family and friends by her side. To everyone who knew her, "Jeanne" was grumpy, hot-headed, stubborn, thoughtful, generous, nurturing, and most of all - loving. For a woman who did not give birth, she had many, many children. If Jeanne touched your life, please join us in celebrating hers at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, with a visitation today, Oct. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. and a service Saturday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. At Jeanne's request, please wear pink in honor of her and the millions of others who are fighting breast cancer. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.

I have known Jeanne all my life practically. I am basically one of her kids , im not sure how long exactly but she use to baby sit me when i was little. Im 13 now and my mother and I were very close to her. My mother Kristine Hall will be at the funeral saturday but unfortunately im in California with family so i won't be able to attend. I can barely remember her as a kid but every memory i do remember it was full of joy and laughs. R.I.P Jeanne
