Diana Phelps Obituary

Diana M. Phelps NORFOLK - Diana Marie Phelps, 49, went home to be with the Lord Nov. 11, 2008, after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Phelps Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her parents, Norman and Jackie Phelps of Norfolk; her son, Donald McIntyre; her brother, Victor Phelps and his wife Bonnie; her sister, Sharon Good and her husband Jimmy and their children Ryan and Cody; a niece, Regina Sadler and her husband Donnie and their two small children, Brooklyn and Luca; her lifelong partner, Karen Weller and her daughter Pamela; an estranged sister, Mary-Kay and her husband Dan; along with a long host of friends. Diana was a hard, dedicated worker of Wawa on Rosemont Road in Virginia Beach. She enjoyed spending her time off on the beach, walking and shopping. There will be a celebration of life held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Norfolk, Friday at 3 p.m. with Pastor Rick Hocker officiating. The family will be receiving guests back at the Phelp's residence following the ceremony for food, memories, and hopefully closure. Flowers are welcomed; however, for those who wish a donation to the American Cancer Society or Hospice would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to extend an extra thanks to Diana's hospice nurse, Dana.
