Diane Wilder PORTSMOUTH - Mrs. Diane A. Wilder, 77, of Douglasville, Ga., and formerly of Portsmouth, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009. She was born March 27, 1932, in Newport News, daughter of the late Elred Dean Ashworth and Blanche Wynne Ashworth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert V. "Joe" Wilder. She is survived by her children, Wendy W. Whitney of Douglasville, Mark Dana Wilder and wife Lynne of Chesapeake, Robin Lisa Wilder of Douglasville, Todd McAllister Wilder and wife Beth Goodwin Wilder of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Tanner LaGrosso, Morgan Talbott, Sarah Wilder Rabin, Dana Wilder Duncan, Mark Dana Wilder II, Casey McAllister Wilder, Alex Goodwin Wilder; great-grandchildren, Audrey Wynne Talbott, Jacob Tyler Rabin, Gianna Nichole LaGrosso; and sisters, Judith A. Feimster and husband William of Valdosta, Ga., Karen A. Kirk and husband Herbert of Douglasville. There will be a family visitation and reception today at 6:30 p.m. in the home of son, Mark Wilder, 4100 Jean Shackelford Drive, Chesapeake. The graveside service will be Friday, June 26, at 11 a.m. in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. Local arrangements by Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Portsmouth.
