Dorothy Malone Obituary

Dorothy Malone ARLINGTON - Dorothy Malone, 90, a lifelong resident of Arlington, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 of natural causes at Easton Memorial Hospital in Easton, Md. Born Feb. 1, 1920 in Arlington, Dorothy was a graduate of Washington-Lee High School. A homemaker for most of her life, she enjoyed boating, golf and her family. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Thomas K. Malone Jr., who died Nov. 8, 2005. She is survived by a son, Ronald J. Malone of Chesapeake; two daughters, Nancy M. Jabin of Annapolis, Md., and Colleen; and seven grandchildren. Friends are invited to Dorothy's life celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, Md., Monday, Dec. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Annapolis. Interment will be held Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. in Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Thomas K. Malone Jr. Scholarship fund, c/o The Development Office, Marymount University, 2807 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22207.
