Elizabeth Saunders Obituary
Virginia Beach - Saunders, Elizabeth Christina Anderson, 92, a native of Richmond and a long time resident of Virginia Beach, died November 16, 2012 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Holman Saunders, parents Mabel Bauer Anderson Clements and Charles Wellford Anderson and sister Florence Hannon. She is survived by her beloved children Dale Kalkofen of Powhatan, Susan Kovar (John) of Virginia Beach, Janie Abers (Charles) of Charlottesville, and John Saunders (Danielle) of Great Falls; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and brother Charles W. Anderson of Richmond. Mrs. Saunders was a member of St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, and Tidewater Genealogical Society. A graveside service will be Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to The Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, 110 West Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23220. Arrangements by Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue, Richmond, VA.

To Beth's Family. We were in shock reading the Obit's today and seeing your Mother's obituary.
Your mother lived a full and long life rasing her (and Holman's children) and watching their children grow up and seeing them reach their goals. After your children get married, have their children and you being able to meet and then watch them grow,I think that is the grandparent's reward for all the time they spent raising their children. Beth had that opportunity watching and living this.
For the children and grandchildren, just look back and remember her and give thanks, that you've got to have and know her.
We will always remember all the Saunder's family, Holman, Beth the Girls and John.
Our Prayers are with all of you.
