Eric Dewolf Obituary
Eric J. DeWolf VIRGINIA BEACH - In loving memory of Eric Jordan DeWolf, who passed away April 27, 2008. Eric was born May 22, 1989, in Chesapeake. He was a loving son, brother and friend. Eric is survived by his father, Daniel DeWolf; his mother, Kathleen McClelland and her husband Gary; a brother, Evan DeWolf; stepsiblings, Collin, Quinn, Erin and Maggie McClelland; as well as grandparents, Guy DeWolf and Anne Wegner, William and Anne Griffith; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and good friends. Eric loved and was loved by so many, taken too soon, he will be missed everyday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, with a wake service to begin at 6:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held in St. John The Apostle Catholic Church, 1968 Sandbridge Road, Virginia Beach Saturday at 10 a.m. by Father J. Morton Biber. Interment will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Haven Children's Home, 3000 N. Landing Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. Years ago, I ran into Eric at the beach. Although I had seen him since then, I feel like I will always picture him as he was that day; full of energy, slightly sunburned, and hilarious. I will miss my cousin Eric.

Eric was not only my cousin but my best friend. He never judged, and I could tell him anything. He was always a risk taker, always making me laugh, always pulling crazy stunts. I will always remember all the great memories we shared as well as the times where we just sat down and talked.
Aunt Kathleen and Evan, you are in my prayers. I Love you both so much and hopefully will see you this summer.

While I only new Eric for a little bit of time, he will be missed so much. I just remember how much I enjoyed talking to him about working on cars or going bodyboarding with him. He will just be missed so very much and all family and friends will be in my prayers.

Kathleen, Evan and Family,
While it has been many years we were very saddened to hear of the loss of Eric. Chelsea and Eric spent many great times together at Ms. B's. They had a special bond as children which I know remains with Chelsea until this day. Since hearing the news we have reminisced about all the wonderful times at Ms. B's, the after school program and play dates. He was such a fun loving child and young adult. His smile was so warming and kind you could not help but be drawn to him. Eric will be greatly missed and always in our hearts. Please know we are thinking of you and praying for you every minute.

eric was a great person. my sister has been in school with him since seventh grade , she is now in college. but im sure everyone is just as surprised as i am. but eric will be in my prayers , and hopefully yours too.

Eric and I sat beside eachother in Biology in tenth grade. We quickly became good friends and spent every class talking and sharing different stories. He was so warm and friendly. I will never forget his smile. I hated Biology, but I always looked forward to coming to class and hanging out with Eric. I'm sad that we lost touch over the past three years, but he will always be in my heart and I will always miss and love him. To Eric's family... I am so sorry for your loss.

i was 5 years old and eric was 9. they moved in two doors down from me christmas eve of '99. he knew the right things to do or say to brighten someones day. it didnt matter what you looked like or how you acted. he tried getting along with everyone. from the 9 years of knowing him... he was always working on something. i remember when he got his first dirtbike. he took it all apart and put it back together. he would always ride around our neighborhood [lake placid] on his goped with a couple of his friends. eric always had friends and was always with them. before he moved from here... every weekend he would go fourwheeling with us. one time, he was trying to teach me how to ride our little blue 90's in his backyard and his little brother evan was on my little brothers and eric was driving me on mine teaching me. evan goes crashing into a tree and flips the bike. then all of a sudden, so do we. theres so much to say. but i cant type it all. eric we miss you. and love you . rest in peace.

I was Eric's geometry teacher at Kellam High School. He was always so polite and warm to me. He was a great kid. He once played a joke on me and hid under the podium in our classroom. The minute I went back and stood by the podium, he reached out and grabbed my ankles! It nearly scared me out of my mind! Needless to say, he knew how to brighten the atmosphere. I really thought very highly of Eric and to hear of his passing has deeply affected me. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. May God bless you.

Some of you know me and some have never heard of me. I grew up with Eric Jordan. This boy was the greatest thing in the world to me when we were younger. Not much has changed since then. I still think about him and wonder how everything has been. I can't believe he is gone. I lost touch with him about a year ago. When we did talk then it wasn't much. Just a "hey, how are you" type conversation but, it was enough for me. Eric was my first crush, first boyfriend, first kiss, and most importantly my first real best friend. Even though he didn't like me tagging along with him when he was with his friends I knew he cared about me. Eric was a caring guy and he loved his friends and family so much. I remember when the song "Pretty Fly For a White Guy" came out. Eric jumped up and was like "Nikki this is that song I was talking about!" so I watched him jump around and dance with the curtains. Even though he looked goofy I didn't laugh at him. When I was 4 1/2 years old my mama was recording my sister and I when we were here in South Carolina for vacation. She asked me what I wanted to talk about. The first thing I could think of when she asked me that was "Ask me about my Eric." So she did. I told her he was my bestest friend in the world even though Daddy thinks he has cooties. I also told my mama that I was 4 1/2 and in love. It hurts to think I didn't stay in touch as much as I would've like to. I miss him. I love him. Always have and always will.

Pls accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. While I did not know Eric personally he was a friend of my daughters and was spoken highly of.
I recall them being in summer camp together also. Eric will be remembered fondly and truly missed by many.
