As kids Fred an I were in the same 4H club back in Cape may Court House. When his mom hosted our meetings she made us the greatest snacks. I bumped into Fred when he was the LSO on the Saratoga around 59-60. A great guy to know . CAme from a wonderful family. RIP sailor.

CAG Metz was my first air wing commander, and I was proud to serve as one his CVW-17 flight surgeons. It was a privilege. I am sorry to learn of Admiral Metz´s passing and extend my condolences and best wishes to his family.
