Fredrick Trosky Obituary

Fredrick A. Trosky CHESAPEAKE - U.S. Navy Senior Chief Fredrick Andrew Trosky passed away June 12, 2010 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Born Oct. 8, 1951 in Mount Hope, N.J., he was the son of the late Henry and Ann Trosky-Kempker. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Edward Trosky. His 22-year career in the United States Navy was decorated with a Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal and other various awards and medals including three Bronze Stars and a National Battle "E" Silver Star. Continuing his efforts to support his country, he served as a quality service inspector with the Defense Fuel Region for 15 years. Surviving are his wife, Pantaleona "Annie" Trosky; his children and their spouse, Robert of San Diego, Karen and Joseph Maupai of Kailua, Hawaii, Steve and Jessica Trosky of Chesapeake. He was also a loving "Pop-Pop" to five grandchildren, Breanne, Jenna, Jacob, Malaya and Annabelle. Also surviving are his brother, Michael and his wife Susan Trosky of Summerville, S.C., half brothers, Glen and his wife Jane Trosky and Kenneth Trosky, both of New Jersey, and half sister, Joan Trosky of Georgia. His life was filled with his extended family of great-aunts and -uncles as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends throughout the world. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. Burial with Navy honors will follow at 1 p.m. Friday at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online condolences may also be made by visiting www. altmeyer.com.

We had the pleasure of working with Ski on occasion, he always brightened the mood in the office with his infectious laugh, you couldn't help but to laugh, too. We will remember him with a smile.
