People come in and out of your life, some leave slight impressions in the sand, others build castles. George built castles, magnificant castles, ones full of love, friendships, laughter and fond memories. Care for these castles and take from it only memories to carry you thru until we meet again.

I knew Mr. L when I worked at 22 Wine St. in high school. From his perch in the middle of the store he taught us all about wine & food, warm hospitality, and good manners. He invited me into a cultured world I knew very little about, but appreciated right away. I am grateful for the time I spent with him at the store and his home.

Dear Nancy,
I am so sorry to learn about George. He was so kind and helpful to me when I opened my shop in Norfolk. I will always remember the wine and the dinners. I know he and John are drinking and eating quail and swapping tall tales together.
My heart is with you and your family

I can say that every moment I spent in Nancy and George's house was enjoyable. He was an honest man. He was pleasant company. He was generous. Through him I met people whose company I still enjoy and I would not have met otherwise. I was quite happy, among his wine friends, to be the "other" George.

While I have not seen the family in several years, I remember fondly the times visiting the LeCuyer house growing up, and among other things spending time around the "island" in the kitchen talking with George, Nancy, and friends. You are all in my prayers during this time.
