Gordon Ness Obituary
Norfolk - Gordon Lyle Ness, Jr, 60, a 17-year Hampton Roads resident, passed away October 13, 2014. He was appreciated for his sense of humor, quick wit, and compassion! He devoted his life to helping others and was active in AA. Gordon is survived by his son, Marc, and many family and friends who loved him deeply. A private memorial is planned.

I only met Gordon once, however he touched so many lives in his short time here. His warmth, understanding and ability to relate and help others will forever be remembered. I wish I had gotten to know him better. My prayers go out to his family.
I know that when he arrived in heaven, the angles sang and God held him in his arms and let him know that everything is alright.

Gordon was a great guy - an old soul with a good heart and a great smile, even in high school. I was lucky enough to dance with him at a few dances at Redwood - haven't had a dance partner that good since!
I'll be out of the country Dec 6th so will miss his Memorial Service. He and the family are in my prayers.
