Harvey was a customer at the store I work at for the six and a half years I've been working there. He would always give us Yankee merchandise for free, as well as provide tickets for anyone who asked, and was an incredibly nice guy to boot. My condolences to his family.

When I think of my time with the Yankees I will always think of Harvey. Quick to smile, Harvey was a friend to all. I send my deepest condolences to the Winston family and his many family members and friends.

There were few people in this world like Harvey Winston. He "Got It". He knew how to respect people and treat them the way he wanted to be treated. I spent 23 years working with him with the Yankees. It was an honor to know him; and to have him confide in me meant even more. I have lost many friends in my life, but none hit me harder than this. Things will never be the same again in Yankee Stadium. I know Harvey lives in everyone he touched. We will never forget him.

My recollections of Harvey Winston begin in elementary school. We attended Titustown Elementary School. We were also good friends through his extended family of cousins and First Baptist Church Logan Park. My fondest childhood memories come from the Winston and Webb families. Harvey was more than just a guy. He was a light-hearted presence with great smile.

To Harvey: It has been a while since I seen you or spoken to you, we were the best of friends at Granby High. We shared the same birth date March 2, we would celecbrate among ourselves and our closest friends every year; one year we had a big sweet 16 birthday party. I will cherish the times we shared during our years at Granby, I will never forget you. You are at peace now, and in a better place, rest in God's arms.

In times like these we need a Savior to call on and I know that while it may appear hard right now, if you lean on your faith and the knowledge that God will not put more on us than we can bear than you shall be alright.
