Ilene Seely Obituary
Smithfield - Ilene Jensen Seely, 61, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 surrounded by her family. Her passion in life was taking care of the farm and her family, especially her grandsons.
Ilene is preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen J. Jensen and sister, Karen Jensen. She leaves to cherish her memories, father, Kenneth Jensen; husband of 42 years, Timothy Seely; son, Jason Seely and wife, Melody; daughter, Angie Batten and husband, Bill; grandsons, Jay Conaway, Austin, Seely and Asher Seely; brothers, Robert Jensen and wife, Micki, Randy Jensen and wife, Eileen; sister, Kathy Donner and husband, Craig.
A life celebration service will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, 3488 Godwin Blvd, Suffolk at 1:00pm. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30pm on Monday, December 30 in Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the ALS Association – DC/MD/VA, 7507 Standish Place, Rockville, MD 20855.
Arrangements are in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA.

To Tim, Angie, Jason and families. Our hearts are full of sorrow for your loss. She is gone too soon. Ilene, I know you are up there looking down offering to help us FIND our way, help a stray, or give love to someone in need. YOU always were one of my best friends even though we weren't as connected after we married. To all my classmates from Washington you should have known her after our graduation….she was amazing! Daddy Jesus, Thank you for Ilene. She is known as wife, better half, mom, sister, friend, neighbor, and grandma. She has touched and blessed the lives of many people. Your fruit in her life was so evident. She was so poised with grace and mercy. Out of all the families in the world that you could have allowed her to be in, Thank you for allowing her to be in ours. Hold our hearts as they are broken and hurting. We will always love, greatly miss and never forget ......mom, wife, friend, neighbor, grandma.......
