Jacquelin Shepheard Obituary

Jacquelin A. Shepheard PORTSMOUTH - Jacquelin Ann Shepheard, 80, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2009. She was born Aug. 6, 1929 in Portsmouth. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Susie Powell. She was predeceased by her brother, Bobby Powell. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Simpson and husband Donnie; four sons, David Shepheard and wife Janet, Stanley Shepheard and wife Deborah, Bruce Shepheard and wife Diane and Michael Shepheard and wife Shari; a sister, Peggy Wisehart; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and former husband, retired U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Stanley E. Shepheard. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. David Davenport. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, VA 23507. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
