Uncle J.C. made the world a better place. He always had a generous heart, never hesitated to share his gifts and talents, told great jokes (not always the most appropriate but that was part of his charm), always had a smile to share, a laugh and word of encouragement and of course, an opinion. He adored his family and was so proud of each of them. He lived life with a fierce zest and appreciation. As nieces and nephews, we knew we were always welcomed and loved by him when we were together. We have such great memories of these times with him and Aunt Edna. He will be missed.

The Jarvis family are unique in many ways. Their kindnesses extend in many venues and all directions and have been a shining light and vehicle for improvement for many a troubled soul.

James was a rascal with command authority, and not only had a dream for himself and his family but brought it to fruition and lived it.

To me it was quite obvious why James C. Jarvis was here - To Make A Better World !

Heroes like him live forever and are treasured. My Condolences to us all.
