Jerry Mott Obituary

Jerry Lee Mott CHESAPEAKE - Jerry Lee Mott, 69, passed away March 9, 2009, in his home surrounded by his family. Jerry served his country proudly for 20 years and retired from the United States Navy as a master chief. He was a member of Raleigh Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Amber Mott. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara; two sons, Richie Mott and his wife Sharon and Barry Leonard and his wife Roxann; brother, Larry Mott; sister, Pam Sarber; three grandchildren, Brandy and her husband Bryan, Brandon and Brooks; four great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Sydney, Bryce and Avery; and special friends, Bud and Ann Castellow. A memorial service with military honors will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, with the Rev. J. Tracy Bradshaw officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, 1000 Crowell Ave., Chesapeake, VA 23324.
