I didn't know Jo Ann for very long, but for the short time I did she was such a delight to be around. She was such a wonderful person.
Jo Ann helped my wife and I purchase our first home together about a year and half ago. When we were visiting different houses for sale Jo Ann had me and my wife crackin' up in the car because she was so funny. It amazed me how she seemed to remember every house she ever sold as we would pass by them and still knew the families that bought them almost as if she kept in touch with them all. I can just hear her voice now telling stories of the houses she sold. Keeping in touch is exactly what she did wit us. After we purchased our home she would, every now and then, get in contact with my wife just to ask how things were. To me that just goes to show how great of a person she was.
It was truly a joy and a blessing to have been able to know her. She will be greatly missed, but I smile knowing that one day I will get to see her again. She's now in the presents of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and there's no better place to be.

Dear Pam , Brenda and Bruce I praise God onstantly for the women who I consider my second mom. Your mom shared weddings, births, birthdays and many dinners with Tom and I and my mom before she went with the Lord. I was bless to see your mom a few weeks ago and again she would love to tell me how she would go to Dorothy's for a "pit stop" and stay and share with my mom and just about meet her next appt. So now, she is with her sister and my mom and the Lord has His hands full keeping them in line. But He will be smiling the whole time while doing it. How God blessed us when we had her as our realtor for our first home and then for the rest of my life as a beautiful friend.
Will always remember you with LOVING THOUGHTS AND MISS YOUR SMILE AND GENTLE WAYS. WHAT A BLESSING YOUR WERE.

I offer my sincere condolences to Bruce and his sisters. Just thinking about Jo Ann brings a smile to my face. I have known her since the mid 80's and can still hear that infectious laugh and the "praise God" ringing throughout the halls when we worked together. Jo Ann was a child of God in every way and certainly was a powerful witness in my life. She is dancing and singing before her King and I will miss her until we meet again.

JoAnn has been like a mother, best friend and prayer partner in our office for the 15 years I knew her. Anytime anyone was in need of a hug & a prayer we all simply walked into JoAnn's office and she would go to God for blessings & understanding. We love & miss you but are so happy that you are home with our Lord!

October 21, 2010

I met Jo Ann Clark when I was 16 yrs old, a friend of 2 of her children. It was clear to me, even then, that her purpose in life was that of a strong and wonderfully loving mother.
It was also clear to me, as a young teenager, of her relationship with God.
As I look back to those days, I do believe we tested that relationship almost daily and she never wavered.
I thank God for showing Jo Ann patience, wisdom and the always constant love that she so freely shared with all of us!
Brenda, Bruce and family, my heart is with you!

Jo Ann was an amazing follower of Christ. She lived and loved as Christ did, always looking out for the rest of us, ready to share His word or a good meal. I truly looked up to her and her love for Him and enjoyed the times we were able to just sit and talk at work. Her death is a huge loss in this self centered world but heaven has gained another angel. I will miss you my friend.

The Long and Foster Lynnhaven office didn't spark until JoAnn came in in the mornings. Always bringing lunch for someone, special deals, ice cream novelties and plenty of experience, tips, advice, smiles, charm, good humor, and a calming personna. I'm so gad I was able to be a part of her life. She walked with HIM here on earth and she's in the palm of HIS hand now.
