Virginia Beach - Julia V. Cristello joined the Lord and the love of her life, Anthony Cristello on December 11, 2013. She was the last surviving child of Vincenzo and Vita Lorello. Her family Ralph and Jan Cristello, Mary Anne Cristello, Cheryl McCann, and Anthony and Amanda Cristello will miss her dearly. Julia devoted many hours of volunteer work at different organizations. Her joys were travel and cooking. The family would like to thank the staff at Sentara Nursing Home of Virginia Beach. We would especially like to thank Dr. Padmore, who was our guardian angel, as well as Dr. Wingard, and Dr. Chupka. The nursing staff: La Vonda, Jasmine, CeCe, Solita, Crystalline, Katrina, Dana (cna), Juanita, Milton, Dana, Jackie, Ingrid, Wilma, Carolina, Fe, Carol Ann, Tamela, Julia's friends Mary and Ruby, and the rest of the nursing, custodial, office, and dining staff. A very SPECIAL THANK YOU to Lo Lumsden ANP, who was Julia's primary care nurse practitioner who truly loved Julia throughout her battle with Alzheimer's.

Without these devoted care givers Julia could not have had the loving care she received. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 22 at 5 p.m. at Unity Renaissance Church at 1120 Eden Way N, Chesapeake, Va. A reception at the church will follow. Donations may be made in her name to The Southeastern Virginia Alzheimer's Association @ Alzheimer's.org or www.ocrf.org (Ovarian Cancer Research Fund)
