Katherine Marle-Moberg

Norfolk - After a prolonged illness, Katherine Marle-Moberg died at home on May 31, 2015. She was born 65 years ago in Bethesda, Maryland, the second child of Captain Jack Wohler, USN, and Marjorie Wohler. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Moberg, her son's Benjamin Marle and Daniel Marle, her brother, Stephen Wohler, and her beloved granddaughters, Annastasia, Greta, Zoe, and Heidi.

Other than her grandchildren, Kathy's great loves were her choir singing, gardening, and interior design. After the tragic death of her first husband, Lieutenant William Marle, USN, she earned college degrees in business and interior design. She sang in the church choirs from the time she returned to Norfolk and was active with the Schola Cantorum eventually serving as its President. She attained her Master Gardener certification, and served as a Director and the Garden Chairwoman of the Fred Huette Center. Six Years ago she started her own successful interior design firm, KMANDM Designs.

Kathy's energy and enthusiasm for life were an inspiration to those around her. She was a wonderful help to her sons and their families in many ways, a devoted wife and friend to her husband, and will be sorely missed.

A Life Celebration Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Freemason Street Baptist Church. Her wish was for the church to be filled with music and flowers. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be offered to the family through hdoliver.com.
