Lana's Family.....Today is Lana's birthday and I always talk to her on her day. When I called I was told I had the wrong number so looked her name up online and found out she had passed away. She has been a dear, dear friend since high school and I love her very much. I was fortunate to see her in 2009. I will miss her so much. God bless you all and keep you in the palm of His hand.

I am very sad of the passing of Lana, we go back a long time,but then as time went on we kind of lost touch, I did get to talk to her on the phone recently and that filled my heart to hear her voice,,but I will miss her and that beautiful smile she gave to all. Mindy, i have been numb since you told me the news. I can only imagine the surreal moments you are currently passing through and I wish I could be at your side during this time.
As we've gotten older, life has proven to be one challenge after another, it's all in how we handle them.
Your mom was an amazing woman whom I loved being in the company of. I can hear her now, in a slightly shocked voice, "Minnndee!"
When life is interrupted by a death, it's the ones left behind who suffer. As you know, the pain will pass and evolve into fond, warm memories for you, your brother and Zoe. Right now, smile, 'cuz she's looking over your princess. I love you, Lu.

Mabel, Bill and Mindy, It saddens my heart to know I did not stay in better contact with Lana and each of you. Lana was the best aunt, she was always welcoming when I walked home from school and dropped by the house. Our Christmas's together were always so special. When I started getting her annual letters, it was obvious that she was so proud of each of you and your children. I was so glad I was able to speak to her a few weeks ago and share how loved and special she is to me. She was always there for Granny and so loved by all. She will always hold a very special place in my heart. My heart and prayers are with you.
