Landon Sanderl Obituary
Virginia Beach - Landon Thomas Sanderl, 12, passed away June 6, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Landon was born to Jillian Sanderl in Virginia Beach. He was known for his positive outlook on life and awesome sense of humor. His most favorite days were ones spent with his devoted grandparents, auntie, and baby brother. The lasting impression he has made on this world is immeasurable.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving mother Jillian Sanderl and stepdad Shawn Taylor; brother, Shawn Jr; grandparents John and Pat Sanderl; aunt, Lauren Roberson.
A visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home Southside chapel 5792 Greenwich road, Virginia Beach on Friday, June 9 from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral service will be at Grace Bible Church Saturday, June 10 at 10am with a procession to Princess Anne Memorial Park.

I remember Landon as a good friend ...not only that but a best friend. he was always laughing or smiling even when he was sad. He wasn't only a friend...but a hero in his fight with cancer.

Landon is precious in the sight of the Lord, He carefully chose the time when He called Landon into His Presence. Let this truth provide the family comfort. We may become angry and feel abandoned but God stays close to us even in death, God sees and each life is valuable to Him. Landon had become my hero and my movie star I watched him on TV commercials and with Andy Fox on TV 10. What a courageous young man he was. Landon is HEALED now! No more chemotherapy, No more sick days.

Knowing Landon was one of the most enlightening experiences of my life. He never let things get him down. I always saw a happy normal little boy who wanted to play guitar. I listened to him talk about dragons and his light sabers. A part of him will always be with me. Good thoughts and prayers to his family. Jilly, Patty, Johnny, Lauren, family and Beau....
This takes me back to Dec. 10th 2004..... A
moment and a tiny baby that soon became my hero and my muse to keep fighting. Wow. Heaven is even more spectacular now. Sending you all so much LOVE. We ALL know how special Landon is. No words to describe our broken hearts or even understand. Love you all with my full heart.
